"This year Pleasanton Middle School is facing a great loss in funding for our athletic programs and other ASB funded school activites," according to Pleasanton Middle School ASB staff. "We have teamed up with the Pleasanton Double Racing Festival to raise much needed funds and to show our commitment to fitness." Event Details

"The Pleasanton Middle School Associated Student Body (ASB) funds support a variety of activities, events and programs: academic, enrichment, school spirit, recognitions and athletics. Our most recent addition to the budget has been in support of an online news website.

"With changes in school fundraising over the years, our ASB has relied on donations from families instead of magazine drives and other school-wide fundraisers. Currently we are far from where we need to be to stabilize our funding for the current and future years.

"We are hoping that as a school and community we can improve our funding to support the future of these programs and build school spirit through exciting events like the Double Racing Festival."

Pleasanton Middle School has teamed up with the 4th Annual Pleasanton Double Racing Festival coming up December 20, 2015 in Pleasanton starting and finishing at Hart Middle School.

In support of Double K's For Kids fundraising program, students at Pleasanton Middle School are signing up to participate in one of four challenges happening at the Double Racing festival.

Student Sign Up - Students will be asking for your donation to help reach our $20,000 goal, once they sign up for one of four Double Racing Events (Take a Double Hike 5.5 mile, Double 15k, Double 8k and Kids Cup Double.)

Students will win movie passes, gift cards to local restaurants and more. The top three students who bring in the most donations will win the top prizes. The top three students who sign up the most participants (friends, family and neighbors) will win the top prizes. Additional prizes will be raffled off to participanting students.

All donations are tax deductible (ID # 94-3062524). The Double Racing Festival is a family fun event. What better thing to do than exercise together with students who care about their school and who want to do something to help make things better.

4 DOUBLE RACING EVENTS DEC 20th:

1. Take A Double Hike 5.5 mile*
Walk, hike 3.3 miles+halftime+2.2 miles

2. Double Road Race 15k*
10k+Halftime+5k

3. Double 8k Run/Walk*
5k+Halftime+3k

4. Bob Anderson's Kids Cup Double**
13 and under One Mile+Halftime+Half Mile

Here is How It Works: Step One: the student needs to sign up for one of four Double events. After signing up the student will receive a special Student Fundraiser Code. Students get a special rate if they sign up by Dec 7. Step Two: Use this Student Code in making donations and signing up to get discounted rates.
